Cultural Exchange 2011

Firstly, I thought that today would be so exhausting for me… I felt I wanted to skip this day, but I WAS WRONG! Today was an amazing day! Well maybe it wasn’t start with a good thing, like I came late to this morning class, and unfortunately the lecturer wasn’t come. However, I had to present my material about Korean Culture (because it was Cross Cultural Understanding class) with my group. Grrrh… I wasn’t ready for that, but show must go on… But the main point is not what happened to me and what made me so upset this morning. Ok, now let’s check it out…

There was an awesome event in my campus, my beloved e_department, called “Cultural Exchange” and there were five native speakers from four different countries. There were Melanie from France, Ryan from Canada, Yuko and Misako from Japan and Lin from Taiwan.

(these were the native speakers...)

It was great when I had to perform with the native from French (and because of that I had a reason to make a conversation with her, that was nice! ;) ).

But the matter was: I prepared for this performance for about two days, I was soooo worry too, but in fact I just performed not more than fifteen minutes, and it was fine… one thing that I can get is “sometimes, my crazy imagination bring me into a suck situation that can make me feel so depressed and frustrated, but the fact is not like what I have in my mind…” so just like Justin Bieber’s song, "Never Say Never" before we try to do something, because sometimes we can get some advantages from what we are gonna do… Stop!!!! Back to the topic! >.<

(waiting for someone :D)

(kyaahahahahaaa....)

After my maybe-good performance, I joined discussion with the native from Canada, there were a lot of things I could learn from him about Canada. One thing that I kept in mind, (well I can’t remember what exactly he said because he spoke too fast and I couldn’t catch all his words, hahay…) but the point is like this, we have to do whatever we wanna do when we are still young, because we don’t have any burdens when we are young, so just do what you like, enjoy your life… waaaaw!!! What he said make me want to go abroad and backpacker like he did (wooooeyy?! Whose money…???? And is it possible for a “little” woman like me to do that??? I could lost so easily I think…hmmmm =.=’) When the time for discussion was up, my friends and I took some pictures as you can see here ^^v

(this is Melanie from French...)

(this is Ryan the Canadian)

(cheeeeers...!)

Getting to know people are very exiting you know!!!! d^o^b

The next was rappelling… from twenty meters tower near my campus, woaaaaa it was very high (for me ^c^). And know what? I tried it, well for the first time I absolutely refused it because I have acro-phobia (fear of the height)… I can’t stand the high place. But I did it! When I stood up in the top of the tower it was rain! (>O<) and my mind said “What the h*ll am I doing here??!!!” again and again… I was twenty meters above the ground, and I had to go down just with a rope!! Was I crazy?! Well, I thought I lost my mind that time… but once more, I DID IT!!!

 (before tried rappelling...)

Unfortunately, in my first trying there was a little accident because my head scarf “nyangkut” on the rope (What a shame!!!!) and I needed someone to help me, waaaw i made difficulties for the members of EGP (peace!!!) ;D

(almost reached the top of the tower >.<)

Hahahaa…. Finally everything was fine, and I could defeat my own fear (^o^v) I wanna try it again next time… thank you guys :)

(1...2...3...aaaauuuoououooo!!!)

In short, today was AWESOME!!!! d^.^b
