Nothing to Lose to Visit Here

Stop complaining. It's not about near or far. It's about who's with you. Indeed, togetherness will make you grateful upon His uncounted blessings for you.

Hello again! :)

Ok, this time I wanna share about my yesterday-experience: visit Goa Kreo (goa means cave, but it looks like niche actually). No need to explain further about this place, cause pictures speak more than words.
Got this picture from the internet, I had no chance to take the pict of this place
my camera was off when I arrived here and it took too long to turn it on, fyuhh...
Say hello to the native inhabitants of Goa Kreo!
The visitors will be accompanied by them all the time
during the short trip in this place
These cute monkeys will eat whatever you give to them :D
Luckily, they are pretty nice and will not grab anything from you unless you throw it to them
I guess they were sharing about the prettiest girl in this place
This man always knows how to pose in front of the camera!
I don't have any idea about what statue this is, there's no explanation about it.
This is Waduk Jatibarang
I wished there would be some boats that could take me to explore the Lake
They saw some monkeys did this and they copied, LOL
*This crazy thing couldn't be done if we weren't together :)
I thank God for these nice guys :)
Placed the camera, timer on, and give ur best smile & pose :D
I hear nothing, I see nothing and I speak nothing
My friend said, this place was desolate and lonely.
Now, it has been upgraded and visited by too many people.
There were too many stairs, we couldn't stand them and this was what we do :p

I Love Beach!

Long time ago, I ever shared about the beautiful beaches in Gunung Kidul - Yogyakarta. This time I wanna show my experience off when I visited some of those beaches. Honestly, the real beach is better than I can see in the picture. Even though I visited them long time ago, but the good thing is not good if it is not shared, right?

The first beach, of course my favorite one: Krakal Beach. This beach has been visited by me more than three times, I don't know why every time I missed the beach I always came here. This place is so lovely and so quiet (but maybe this time Krakal is more crowded than that time).
Enjoyed the sunset in the afternoon (Krakal Beach)
The receded water allowed us to see the corals
(FYI, behind him is Sadranan Beach and Ngandong Beach)
Krakal in the next morning (taken from the hut near the beach)
The second beach was Drini Beach. This also has amazing view, but a lil' bit crowded. There I could find different spot of the beach, was a good place to take a walk with the beloved one and had a nice conversation to refresh my mind.

Welcome to Drini :)
Let's go to that little "island"

Wet wet wet :D

Playin' around
The shadow of ours :)
The third was Sepanjang Beach. The name of this beach reflect the beach itself (panjang means long), unlike Drini that has some spots or Krakal with its big reef, Sepanjang just a long beach with relatively low waves. It is good for beginner to surf there. There is no motel there, this beach is totally desolate and lonely. I just met with some people, some just passed through the beach. However, the track to reach this beach is a lil' bit terrible (maybe because this beach has not been visited by many people). But I bet, sooner or later this beach would be exposed and many people would go there.

This is the view along Sepanjang Beach
The last beach was the most crowded: Kukup Beach. Indeed, this beach has so many motels, restaurants, souvenir shops and toilet. I had to walk about 100-200 meters from parking lot to the beach. Phew... the beach is good and pretty nice but I didn't like the crowd.
Well, this what I mean by crowded!
The more improvement, the more people will come. That's the rule.
In short, those beaches are recommended. The long and tiring journey from Yogyakarta to get there is worthy to be replaced by their beautiful landscape. Next time I surely wanna go there again, hopefully those heavenly places do not turn into the sea of human, LOL.

The Greatness of Merbabu Mountain

I did this "get lost" activity almost one year ago (I just realize that I have spent most of my time with idleness... too lazy to write in my blog... what a shame, phew!) but I'll make it up 'cause it will never be too late to share a good thing here, hopefully :) After the first and second stories about my hiking experience with the great mountains in my beloved Indonesia, I had another experience with the high place.

I climbed Merbabu Mountain by joining a group of hiking lovers, including my partners in crime (as always, the lovely couple Nopai aka Novi and Pasku aka Faskhau).
The squad of "XPDC Merbabu"
Indeed, at the beginning there were many people in the squad, unfortunately as a beginner my bf, Nopai, Pasku and I were left behind (actually Pasku is one of the seniors, but he chose to accompany the "slow motion" guys). It was OK, we still could enjoy the hiking since we were together :) FYI, I had the same experience in my first climbing... haha they always left us behind!
Did we look sad since we were left behind? :p
Keep calm and say "cheese" to the camera
The height of Merbabu is about 3.145 m above the sea level, we started via Cunthel base camp and it was too late (we had to wait for other squad to come, and at the end we were left behind... what a nice experience, LOL!) we started in the afternoon even though our plan said that we would start at noon. I thought it was the hardest hiking I ever had... the preparation, timing and plan were ruined. I remember I almost fell asleep on the way when we took a break due to the extreme fatigue. And the worst part: we arrived in Puncak Menara at 3 AM! My mind was about to blow that time when I could see the tower there.
No one can deny this awesome view
In the morning I could hear some people shouted about the sunrise, but I chose to continue my dream and skipped the-off course-beautiful sunrise. However, it was replaced by the beauty and graciousness of the view I got when I woke up and out of the tent.
The first landscape I got that morning...

The ocean of clouds (it was around 11 AM)
I couldn't continue the journey to reach the peak of this mountain, I had to save my energy to go down... that was bad, I know. When the clouds came and it started to rain, we decided to go down the mountain. I hope someday I could return to this place and that time I would continue until I could reach the top!
The clouds, fog and rain accompanied our day
The best partners in crime \^o^/

Well, all of my hiking experiences is related to the wet. Yap, we experienced the downpour during the journey. Everything felt so hard that time, and I thought the base camp was getting further.
We wanted to lie down on this place for a while, but we didn't have much time :(
Muddy, wet and extremely exhausted. But that's OK!
Finally we arrived at the base camp when it was getting dark. We were soooooooooo exhausted. And we back to Semarang around 8 PM. After that I was sick for almost a week, LOL. But I still have a dream that someday I could hike there again :)

It's not about reaching the top. It's about the journey, togetherness and precious moment we can get.

Umbul Sidomukti Part 2 (Birthday Edition)

Have a great month everyone! :)

I wanna share about my second experience in Umbul Sidomukti - Semarang. I've shared my first experience there in my last article. Well, I visited this place for the second time on my birthday last month, actually at first my hubby and I had a plan to celebrate it together, and the plan was go camping in a great place called Telaga Dringo in Wonosobo - Central Java (someday I have to go camping there, I mean it!) unfortunately the weather was not good (in Indonesia we have rainy season at this time) camping in a rainy day sounded like a bad idea. Then we changed the plan, we DID NOT GO ANYWHERE.

Was I disappointed? Well, a lil' bit, but it didn't matter. Since my hubby made it up by asking me to go to Sidomukti. I thought it was better than stuck in the house full of boredom, LOL. Finally we asked two of his friends to join us: the two crazy men. We reached that place by motorcycle, it only took about one hour. Lucky us, it wasn't rain, yay!!

We didn't visit the place as I visited at the first time, we went directly to the Pondok Kopi (aka Coffe Shop). It is higher than the place I visited long time ago. Since it was Sunday there were too many people in the Coffee Shop, so we decided to took a walk and just enjoyed whatever we could enjoy (does it sound so desperate?). We found a cave (if I'm not mistaken the name is Goa Tirtamulya), the entrance is only IDR. 5.000/ person. Then we had a short-scary-but-absurd adventure inside the cave. (One of the two men scared me with some scary voices, I was fooled by that voice, crap!)

I found this inside the cave. The door looks so scary, right?

Well, he is my husby. I have no idea what he did that time, haha...

With the two crazy men.

At the end of the cave we found a good spot to enjoy the view there. It was amazing, but d*amn... it was crowded.

The best spot! There is always light at the end of the tunnel, LOL.

After the caving activity we continued to fool around, when we decided to drink coffee in the Coffee Shop we didn't get a space there and the coffee plan was cancelled. As a good woman (LOL) I brought some snacks so we could sit on the grass, enjoyed the nice scenery and ate some snacks (what a double kill!), and of course took so many picts (even the men did it enthusiastically!).
Second-best spot

Lying on the grass feels so good. Btw, does this pict remind you of a movie? :D

On the right side is the Coffee Shop (please ignore those selfie-ing fams)

Rain + hot chicken noodle + beloved people = perfect!

The cloud warned us to go home earlier, so we back home and got a bowl of hot chicken noodle on our way home. I knew it was out of the plan, but I was happy since I had a nice time to be shared with my hubby and friends on my birthday.

I don't give a shit about my new older age, all I know is: doing something crazy doesn't need a young age, it's just a bunch of great friends and a drop of endless young soul.
