Survival Equipments

Anyone of us knows well that before we do anything we need “preparation”, so all of our plans will run well and we will get what we want. Ok, here I will share the preparation before we climb a mountain. We have to prepare anything we would need to climb a mountain, one of God’s masterpieces I guess… well, read this article and hopefully it can help to do the preparation. We do really need a good preparation, because top of the mountain is not as comfortable as our bedroom, well yeah… it goes without saying ‘aight? Except… you go to the top of the mountain in a suicide mission, you don’t need this preparation, LOL. Ok, let’s check it out…
Mountaineering equipments
We’ll need the mountaineering equipments if we want to climb safely, and comfortably. First, we need carrier, it’s a kind of bag that usually used to climb a mountain. It’s big, strong and safe enough for us. We can bring all of the stuffs we need with the carrier. We can choose the carrier that fit on us including the size, model and maybe color. Second, we need a tent. I guess that every climber doesn’t wanna sleep without a tent, this stuff is very useful. We won’t get wet when it’s rain, we can sleep well and comfortably inside it, and we can place all of our stuffs safely so we can do all we wanna do like take photos and we don’t have to bring the equipments with us. In the night, the temperature on the top of a mountain is not as nice as in our house, so we need sleeping bag. To make it more comfortable we can bring mattress. That’s all the essential stuffs we have bring to climb a mountain, if you climb in rainy season don’t forget to bring rainy coat.
Personal equipments
These equipments are not the same among the climbers, it’s up to them what they will bring. Here I just wanna share generally what we need as our personal equipments. Let’s start from clothes, since the mountain is always has low temperature we need the clothes that can warm our body up. From the top to the toe, we will need winter hat, masker (to cover nose and mouth), scarf, gloves, jacket, comfortable t-shirt and pants, shocks, shoes/ sandals (we’d better use the special one to climb) and the rest you can add whatever you need for your own comfort. For girls, don’t forget to bring sun block/ sun screen, it will help you much, LOL.
Logistics
What do I mean by logistics are food and beverage, we will absolutely need it unless (as I write before) you’re on suicide mission. It’s recommended bring the instant one, because we don’t have a kitchen like in our house. Instant noodle, milk, cereal, hot chocolate or coffee (bring on a sachet), and if you have the equipments, bring some vegetable will do no harm. And the important thing is: water. Bring enough water and there will be no dehydration. Isotonic water is also needed to bring our power back.
Personal medicines
Medicines will be needed for climber who has certain kind of disease, so we have to know what kind of medicine we have to bring. For instance, I have a problem with headache, so bring aspirin or something like that to heal it, as we know in a mountain there’s no doctor unless you bring him/ her in your carrier, LOL.
Cash
Well yeah, sounds weird because there will be no shop in a mountain and we climb it not for shopping. But hey, we still need money to handle something unpredictable that can happen to us. The transportation, accommodation or the ticket (some mountain have an entrance fee) will need our cash. Just keep enough cash in your wallet.

Uhmm, I think that’s all I know about the preparation before we climb a mountain. As a newbie maybe what I wrote is not complete, but hopefully it can help the readers. Ok, wherever and whatever mountain you will climb, have a nice climbing everyone!!!

Visit These Beaches, and You Won't Regret It

Bali (Indonesia) is a tourist resort which is recognized by whole the world, it has beautiful nature and so many special cultures. The beach in Bali is one of ten best beaches in the world, if you wanna know about the most beautiful beaches in Bali, let's check this one out ^^

Padang Bai

Padang Bai Beach lies in crossing harbor between Bali and Lombok, Padang Bai. This beach is clean enough and of course, it is so beautiful. Fishermen and divers really like this beach because even though lies near a port, the under water life were kept so well. However, if you wanna dive in this beach you have to be careful, because sometime the wave is too high.

Legian and Seminyak Beach

The beach which lies on the north of Kuta Beach has same atmosphere with Kuta Beach, but the differences between Legian and Seminyak Beach and Kuta Beach are the cleanliness and the crowd (Legian and Seninyak Beach is less crowded than Kuta Beach). This beach has a different-unique sunset every day, and this is the best place to take some sunset pictures.

Dreamland Beach

Tourists from other countries  really love this beach, you can see the white sand along the beach and there are some beautiful corals too. Dreamland is beautiful and exotic white-sand beach in Bali. The only bad thing about this beach is the way to reach it, it is a little bit hard to get there because you have to follow steep path and you have to be careful in rainy season.

Sanur Beach

Sanur is one of the tourist resorts which grew in Bali for the very first time, we can feel the rural and calm atmosphere more than other beaches in Bali. Sanur was renovated and it became an extremely beautiful beach. There are many activities and resorts around Sanur Beach which make this beach becomes one of recommended beaches in Bali.

Amed Beach and Tulamben Beach

Amed Beach and Tulamben Beach lie contiguously, they almost have similar characters. But Amed Beach is still "virgin" and visited by just a few domestic tourists. The divers love Tulamben Beach very much, there is a US warship which was sunk not too deep under the surface. These are two of exotic beaches in Bali.

Lovina Beach

This famous beach lies on the northern Bali island, the character of the sand in this beach is a little bit different with other beaches, it has black sand. In Lovina Beach we can see a group of dolphins every morning, to see them we can rent a boat (we can rent it in the hotel or from the owner directly). Don't forget to bring your camera, because sometime the dolphins will appear beside your boat.

Candi Dasa Beach

On the east part of Bali island and two journeys from Denpasar you will find a well-known tourist resort, Candi Dasa and its beautiful beach. There many activities that you can do in this beach, two of them are snorkeling and diving.

Well, you have to prepare yourself and visit Bali, Indonesia soon. Then you will see "a little piece of paradise" there ^^

The Flying Dutchman

There are so many versions about this story. Some say, this story comes from Holland, meanwhile the others claim that this story comes from a British drama "The Flying Dutchman" (1826) by Edward Fitzball and the novel “Phantom Ship” (1837) by Frederick Marryat, and then adapted into a Holland story “Het Vliegend Schip” (The Flying Ship) by a priest from that country, A. H. C. Römer. Another version, including an opera by Richard Wagner (1841) and “The Flying Dutchman on Tappan Sea” by Washington Irving (1855).

According to some sources, a captain from Holland in 17th century, Bernard Fokke was an example about the captain of that ghost ship. Fokke got his fame from his voyage from Holland to Java with incredible speed and it was suspected that the ship had a connection with the devil to increase its speed. Based on some sources too, the captain was called Falkenburg in the story from Holland. He was called “Van der Decken” (means off the deck) in Marryat’s version and called “Ramhout van Dam” in Irving’s version. The source disagree that “The Flying Dutchman” is the name of a ship or a nickname for the captain.

So many sources mention that the captain promised that he wouldn’t give up in the stormy rain, but he would continue his mission to find Cape of Good Hope even though he had to find it until the end of time. According to some versions, a terrible evil happened, or the crew of the ship was infected by bubonic plague and wasn’t allowed to anchor in all harbors. Then, that ship and all of the crew was punished to sail all the time and never anchored the ship. One version mentions this happened in 1641, and other in 1680 or 1729.

There are so many notes about the similarities between Flying Dutchman and Christian story, The Wandering Jew. Terneuzen (Holland) was mentioned as a house of the legendary Flying Dutchman, Van der Decken, a captain who cursed God and was punished to sail through the sea forever, it was told in a novel by Frederick Marryat “The Phantom Ship” and Richard Wagner’s opera.

Some witnesses of The Flying Dutchman appearance:

1823: Captain Oweb from HMS Leven Ship, saw an empty ship in the ocean twice, one of them could be The Flying Dutchman.

1835: a British ship saw The Flying Dutchman came rapidly but it was gone before hit that British ship.

1879: some crew of SS Petrogia saw that ghost ship.

1881: three of HMS Baccante ship’s crew saw it (in this ship there was King George V that time). The next morning a crew who saw the ghost ship suddenly dead.

1939: the ghost ship seen in Mulkenzenberg, it made people who saw it got confused because that old ship gone in a blink of an eye.

1941: there was a report from Glenclaim Beach about an old ship which hit a coral. When it was researched the body of the ship wasn’t found.

1942: MHS Jubille near Cape Town, South Africa saw this ghost ship too.

The Flying Dutchman, Spongebob Squarepants version.

According to a legend, The Flying Dutchman is a ghost ship which never makes port, but must sail through the “seven seas” forever. Flying Dutchman always can be seen from a far distance, sometimes with a “ghost light”.
